Mae cynhyrchydd ffilmiau neu gyfresi teledu yn gyfrifol am sicrhau fod yr amgylchiadau'n addas er mwyn creu ffilm neu raglen deledu. Mae'r cynhyrchydd yn cychwyn ar y broses, yn cyd-lynnu, goruwchwylio a rheoli materion megis codi'r arian angenrheidiol, cyflogi gweithwyr allweddol a threfu ar gyfer y dosbarthwyr.
