Bathwyd y term Man-G (neu "G-spot") gan Addiego yn 1981 ar ôl y geinocolegydd Almaenig Ernst Gräfenberg a ragwelodd eu bodolaeth flynyddoedd ynghynt (yn 1944).[2] Ond ddaeth y cysyniad ddim yn boblogaidd nes cyhoeddi The G Spot and Other Recent Discoveries About Human Sexuality gan Ladas yn 1982.
