Pulitzerova nagrada za poeziju jedna je od sedam američkih Pulitzerovih nagrada koje se dodjeljuju godišnje za književnost, dramu i muziku. Prvi put je predstavljena 1922, a dodjeljuje se za istaknutu svesku originalnih stihova američkog autora, objavljenu tokom prethodne kalendarske godine. Finalisti se proglašavaju od 1980, obično još dvoje pored pobjednika.[1]

Prije osnivanja nagrade, Pulitzerovi ciklusi iz 1918. i 1919. uključivali su tri specijalna citata i nagrade (koja se u to vrijeme nazivala Nagrada za poeziju Univerziteta Columbia) za knjige poezije koje su finansirane "posebnim grantom Društva pjesnika".[1]
