Trachyspermum ammi, ye una especie de planta melecinal perteneciente a la familia de les apiacees. Ye orixinaria de la India, Paquistán y Oriente Próximu, que les sos granes son utilizáu como especie.[1]

La planta tien una semeyanza col perexil. Por cuenta de la so apariencia similar coles granes, les vaines de la fruta dacuando llámense les granes, que son en forma de güevu y de color abuxáu.
