Sesriem is 'n klein nedersetting in die Namibwoestyn in Namibië, naby die suidelike punt van die Naukluftberge. Dit is veral bekend vir die "Sesriemhek", die belangrikste toegangspunt na die Namib-Naukluft Nasionale Park. Die hek word hoofsaaklik deur besoekers, wat die toeristeaantreklikhede in en om Sossusvlei besoek, gebruik.[1]
Soos baie dorpies in die Namib, is Sesriem 'n vulstasie met basiese dienste soos openbare telefone en 'n paar kiosks waar reisigers algemene voorrade, soos kos en water kan koop.[2] Akkommodasie is in die omgewing beskikbaar, soos 'n paar gastehuise (bv. "Le Mirage Desert" en die "Sossusvlei Lodge") en ten minste 24 kampplekke vir rugsaktoeriste (backpackers).[2]
Warmlugballonne vertrek soggens vroeg vanaf die Sesriemhek, wat 'n skilderagtige vlug oor Sossusvlei se duine bied.
Sesriem is ook bekend vir die Sesriemkloof, sowat 4 km van Sesriem self. Dit is die tweede belangrikste toeriste-aantreklikheid in die omgewing. Dit is 'n natuurlike ravyn wat die Tsauchabrivier deur die plaaslike sedimentêre gesteente gekerf het. Die ravyn is sowat 'n kilometer (0,6 myl) lank en tot 30 meter (100 voet) diep. Die ravyn is op plekke slegs twee meter (6,5 voet) breed, en het 'n gedeelte wat permanent water bevat, en deur diere in die omgewing gebruik word.
Die naam Sesriem verwys na ses gemsbokrieme.[3] Die setlaars wat van die Dorslandtrek teruggekeer het, moes ses rieme aan mekaar bind om water uit die ravyn te kon skep.[4]
