Yartsevo (Russian: Я́рцево) is a town and the administrative center of Yartsevsky District in Smolensk Oblast, Russia, located on the Vop River, 63 kilometers (39 mi) northeast of Smolensk, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: 47,848 (2010 Russian census);[8] 52,617 (2002 Census);[9] 52,304 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
