Yamato (大和市, Yamato-shi) is a city located in central Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2021[update], the city had an estimated population of 242,065 and a population density of 8900 persons per km².[1] The total area of the city is 27.09 km2 (10.46 sq mi).[2]
