Teresa Heinz (born Maria Teresa Thierstein Simões-Ferreira; October 5, 1938),[1][2] also known as Teresa Heinz Kerry,[2] is an American businesswoman and philanthropist. Heinz is the widow of former U.S. Senator John Heinz and the current wife of former United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, longtime U.S. Senator, and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry. Heinz is Chair of the Heinz Endowments and the Heinz Family Philanthropies.
