It is part of solar saros 138, repeating every about 18 years, 11 days, and 8 hours, which contains 70 events. The series started with a partial solar eclipse on June 6, 1472. It contains annular eclipses from August 31, 1598, to February 18, 2482. It contains a hybrid eclipse on March 1, 2500. It contains total eclipses from March 12, 2518, to April 3, 2554. The series ends at member 70 as a partial eclipse on July 11, 2716. The longest annular eclipse occurred on February 11, 1869, with maximum duration of annularity at 8 minutes and 2 seconds. The longest total eclipse will occur on April 3, 2554, with maximum duration of totality at 56 seconds.[1]
