Steinfurt (German pronunciation: [ˈʃtaɪ̯nˌfʊʁt] ⓘ; Westphalian: Stemmert) is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the capital of the district of Steinfurt. From c. 1100–1806, it was the capital of the County of Steinfurt.
