With a leasable area of 235,000 m2 (2,530,000 sq ft),[1] it is the biggest shopping mall in Austria. It contains over 330 shops and has around 5,000 employees (2016).
In December 2007, the SCS was sold for €607 million[2] to French real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, which also owns the Donauzentrum.
