Murska Sobota (pronounced [ˈmúːɾska ˈsóːbɔta] ⓘ,[1] Slovenian abbreviation: MS [məˈsə̀];[1] German: Olsnitz;[2] Hungarian: Muraszombat[2]) is a town in northeastern Slovenia. It is the centre of the Municipality of Murska Sobota near the Mura River in the region of Prekmurje and is the regional capital.
