The Moscow City Duma (Russian: Московская городская дума, romanized: Moskovskaya gorodskaya duma, commonly abbreviated to Мосгордума, Mosgorduma) is the regional parliament (city duma) of Moscow, a federal subject and the capital city of Russia.[1] As Moscow is one of three federal cities,[lower-alpha 1] the city duma's legislation can only be overridden by the mayor and the federal government.
