A macaroon (/ˌmækəˈruːn/ MAK-ə-ROON) is a small cake or cookie, originally made from ground almonds, egg whites, and sugar,[1] but now often with coconut or other nuts. They may also include jam, chocolate, or other flavorings.[2]
