Lamont Herbert Dozier (/ləˈmɒnt ˈdoʊʒər/;[4] June 16, 1941 – August 8, 2022) was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Detroit.[5] He co-wrote and produced 14 US Billboard number-one hits and four number ones in the UK.
