Krasnogorsky District (Russian: Красного́рский райо́н; Udmurt: Красногорск ёрос, Krasnogorsk joros) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in the Udmurt Republic, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the republic. The area of the district is 1,860.1 square kilometers (718.2 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krasnogorskoye.[2] Population: 10,347 (2010 Russian census);[4] 12,219 (2002 Census);[9] 14,202 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Krasnogorskoye accounts for 42.8% of the district's total population.[4]
