Krasnogorsky District (Russian: Красного́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,081 square kilometers (417 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Krasnaya Gora.[1] Population: 10,250 (2021 Census);[8] 13,208 (2010 Russian census);[3] 16,863 (2002 Census);[9] 2,326 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Krasnaya Gora accounts for 53.7% of the district's total population.[8]
