Khivsky District

Khivsky District (Russian: Хи́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the republic. The area of the district is 620 square kilometers (240 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Khiv.[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 22,753, with the population of Khiv accounting for 11.7% of that number.[3]
