Juan Alberto Melgar Castro (20 June 1930 – 2 December 1987) was an army officer in the Honduran military who served as the head of state of Honduras from 22 April 1975 to 7 August 1978, when he was removed from power by others in the military.[1]
In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Melgar and the second or maternal family name is Castro.
