Jean-Noël Barrot

Jean-Noël Barrot (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ nɔɛl baʁo]; born 13 May 1983) is a French politician of the Democratic Movement (MoDem) who has been serving as the Secretary of State for European Affairs in the government of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal since 2024.[1] He previously was Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications (France) [fr] in the government of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne from 2022 to 2024.[2][3]

Prior to joining the government, Barrot represented the 2nd constituency of the Yvelines department in the National Assembly from 2017.[4] He was elected to Parliament under the banner of La République En Marche! (LREM),[5] and is the current chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly.[6]
