Human rights in Haiti
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Haiti's Constitution and written laws meet most international human rights standards.[1] In practice, many provisions are not respected.[1] The government's human rights record is poor.[1] Political killings, kidnapping, torture, and unlawful incarceration are common unofficial practices, especially during periods of coups or attempted coups.[1]
