Arkharinsky District (Russian: Архари́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 14,355 square kilometers (5,542 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Arkhara.[2] Population: 17,186 (2010 Russian census);[4] 21,068 (2002 Census);[8] 27,537 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Arkhara accounts for 55.8% of the district's total population.[4]
