Alec Merrison

Sir Alexander Walter Merrison FRS[1] (20 March 1924 – 19 February 1989) was a British physicist. He was a professor in experimental physics at Liverpool University and the first director of the new Daresbury Nuclear Physics Laboratory. He later became vice-chancellor of University of Bristol.
