On the morning of 2 January 2024, Russia attacked Ukraine with the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles[2] and Kh-101/Х-555/Kh-55 air-launched cruise missiles.[3]

Russia attacked the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv[4] and Kharkiv[5][6] en masse. During the bombing, due to a mistake, a bomb was also dropped on the village of Petropavlovka in Voronezh Oblast, Russia.[7][8]
