New Cumnock (Scots Gaelic: Cumnag Nuadh) is a toun in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It expandit during the coal-minin era frae the late 18t century, an minin remained its key industry till its pits war shut in the 1960s. The toun is 5.7 mile (9.2 km) sooth-east o Cumnock, an 21 mile (34 km) east o Ayr.
