Yeltsovsky District

Yeltsovsky District (Russian: Ельцо́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the east of the krai. The area of the district is 2,158 square kilometers (833 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Yeltsovka.[1] Population: 6,339 (2010 Russian census);[3] 7,923 (2002 Census);[6] 9,232 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Yeltsovka accounts for 45.1% of the district's total population.[3]
