Rzhyshchiv (Ukrainian: Ржищів, pronounced [ˈrʒɪʃt͡ʃ⁽ʲ⁾iu̯]; Russian: Ржищев; Yiddish: אירזיסטשוב, romanized: Irzistshub, also known by several alternative names; Polish: Rzyszczów) is a small city in Obukhiv Raion, Kyiv Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Rzhyshchiv urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.[1] Population: 7,175 (2022 estimate).[2] It is situated on Leglych river.[3]

Until 18 July 2020, Rzhyshchiv was incorporated as a city of oblast significance. In July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast to seven, the city of Rzhyshchiv was merged into Obukhiv Raion.[4][5]
