Charles Eliot Ware (May 7, 1814 ā September 3, 1887) was a prominent Boston physician.[1] He was the husband of Elizabeth Cabot Lee and the father of Mary Lee Ware. These women commissioned the famous Glass Flowers exhibit at the Harvard Museum of Natural History in his memory.[2] Ware was also a close friend of John Holmes, the younger brother of Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.[3]
