The earliest known Sino-Mongolian inscription, from 1240, mentions a "Yeke Qadun" or "Great empress". Some scholars have identified this figure with Boraqchin, while others argue that the inscription refers to Ögedei Khan's second wife, Töregene Khatun.[3]
