奧約帝國是中世紀非洲的約魯巴帝國，位在今日的奈及利亞西部和北部。帝國建於14世紀，後藉由約魯巴人卓越的組織能力、豐厚的貿易所得以及帝國強健的騎兵軍力，逐漸擴展版圖，成為西非最大的帝國。奧約帝國是17世紀中期至18世紀晚期西非地區政治上最重要的國家，它不僅掌控現代奈及利亞、貝南和多哥等地的政權，也統治其他非洲王國，包括豐族所建的達荷美王國（今貝南）。
