Traditional African medicine

悉達醫學（坦米爾語：சித்த மருத்துவம் 或 தமிழ் மருத்துவம்，英語：Siddha medicine），起源自印度南部泰米尔纳德邦的傳統醫學，為古印度醫學三大傳統之一。其歷史可能超過一萬年，是人類歷史上最悠久的醫學傳統之一。他們尊崇投山仙人為其始祖，他將悉達醫學教授給室建陀，之後流傳至今。

草藥醫學（英語：Herbal medicine，Herbalism），研究與使用植物於醫療用途的學問。它的範圍除了植物之外，通常也可擴展到真菌、昆蟲、甲殼類、動物及礦物。對所有由自然產生的藥物進行研究的學科，稱為生藥學。 有些植物的植物化學成分會影響人體，有些可能是在少量即有效果，也有些是在大量攝取時是有毒的。
