而成的複合體作為染色標記物，其DNA條形碼作為索引標籤，是由特殊的雙股寡核苷酸序列所組成，並以迭代的方式依次在不同標籤接上螢光基團（英语：Fluorophore），達到與目標細胞高度專一性結合，有较好的多工組織染色成像能力（實際上仍受限於儀器的速度與解析能力，目前約可產生40~50種不同抗體的組織染色影像）。[來源請求]
