鍅沒有穩定的同位素,因此無法得到其標準原子量,但鍅存在有兩個天然放射性同位素。目前已知的有35種鍅的同位素,原子量從199到233,其中最穩定的同位素是鍅-223(223
Fr
),半衰期為22分鐘,由於是鈾-235(235
U
)的衰變產物,因此在地殼中微量存在,而另一個自然同位素是221
Fr
,半衰期較短,只有4.9分鐘,目前已知穩定性最差的鍅同位素是215
Fr
,半衰期為86奈秒。
