肯尼斯·麥克塞

肯尼斯·約翰·麥克塞（英語：Kenneth John Macksey，1923年7月1日—2005年11月30日），或譯作麥克西，英國軍事歷史作家、英國陸軍退役少校，研究領域以第二次世界大戰的題材為主。麥克塞曾於二戰服役於英國皇家裝甲兵（英语：Royal Armoured Corps）第79裝甲師（英语：79th Armoured Division (United Kingdom)）師長波西·荷巴特（英语：Percy Hobart）麾下，並獲得過軍功十字勳章。戰爭結束後，麥克塞開始進行二戰各軍事人物的傳記和戰役之撰寫。1968年，麥克塞自英國陸軍退役。

質疑李德哈特之軍事地位

麥克塞也是質疑B·H·李德哈特軍事論點的著名人士之一，尤其反駁「李德哈特的軍事論點造就了德軍於二次大戰的閃擊戰」一事。麥克塞提出的論點為，海因茨·古德林於其回憶錄《一個軍人的回憶》的德文版中，並未有感謝李德哈特提出戰車應用之新思維的字句，而《一個軍人的回憶》的英譯本《閃擊英雄》即是李德哈特出版，並為其作序。此外，於1937年時古氏的裝甲戰論文—《注意！戰車》中，有提到戴高樂、J·F·C·富勒等人的著作，就是沒有李德哈特^[1]。而後，麥克塞又與古德林之子—海因茨·君特·古德里安（英语：Heinz Günther Guderian）在討論為古德林作傳而翻閱後者私人信件時，意外發現李德哈特寫給古德林的私信，信中提到希望古德林能加入「感謝李德哈特促成閃擊戰之構想」的字句^[1]，而古氏當下沒有想到李德哈特會以此宣揚便答應了^[2]，另外兩位著名軍事家—埃爾溫·隆美爾與埃里希·馮·曼斯坦的家屬們也有收到類似之信件，為李德哈特預見閃擊戰和裝甲部隊之重要性一事背書^[1]。
