1214年，因战功被金朝升为千户。历任同知平凉府事、陇州防御使、巩昌府治中。1232年，担任巩昌府总帅。1234年，金朝灭亡，汪世显据地自守。1235年，汪世显投降蒙古帝国。跟随蒙古攻打南宋播州、思州。1238年，攻打葭萌关，夺取嘉定府、峨眉、资州。1241年，率军攻打成都，杀死宋朝将领陈隆之。1243年，为都总帅，领秦州、陇州等20州军事。同年去世。
