新金屬（Nu Metal）係重金屬音樂嘅一個分支。起源於1990年代。
發展同埋特色
1990年代，有啲重金屬樂隊引入咗第啲元素同演繹，例如Funk或Hip Hop嘅節奏、DJ混音、MIDI、Rap等等，形成咗新金屬。
新金屬唔同傳統重金屬，少啲結他獨奏部份、樂手亦唔一定留長髮、主音唔一定死腔或嗌晒成首歌、以好聽啲嘅旋律貫穿成首歌等等。
