牆，又寫作墻，係屋宇建築等嘅打直間隔，用來阻擋同間開空間，室內又得，屋外又得。有啲用來包圍地方，叫做圍牆。
漢許慎《說文解字》記載：「牆，垣蔽也。从嗇，爿聲。𤖣，籒文从二禾。𤖧，籒文亦从二來。」段玉裁注：「《土部》曰：『垣，牆也。』《左傳》曰：『人之有牆，以蔽惡也。』故曰垣蔽。《釋宫》曰：『牆謂之墉』。《釋名》曰：『牆，障也。』」
