夏思義

夏思義（Patrick Hugh Hase，1947年—）博士，已婚，有四個仔女。佢係個鍾意研究香港圍村、歷史同文化嘅學者。港英時期嘅公務員。1972年至2020年都住係香港。

生平

夏思義喺英國出世，喺英國劍橋大學讀咗博士學位。1972年開始係香港做嘢。頭六個月，港英政府就叫佢學廣東話先，所以佢後來就講得口嘞嘞聲嘅廣東話。到咗1980年代仲做埋政務官，出任過沙田理民官^[1]、政務專員，即係民政事務專員嘅前身。係1996年退休之前就做緊福利署嘅副處長。2000年頭係香港大學教書，之後都有去嶺南大學兼職教歷史。
