第四屆亞洲運動會，於1962年8月24號至9月4號响印尼首都雅加達舉行，會期為12日。
印尼攞到第四屆亞運會舉辦權之後，因為政治同宗教原因，拒絕會員國以色列同中華民國（台灣）參賽，結果搞到印尼畀國際奧委會暫停會籍。
今屆亞運會第一次為參賽隊伍建立亞運村。
