生平
1976年12月加入中國共產黨。1979年9月，在山西師範大學政史系學習，任學生會主席、省學聯副主席。1983年8月，任山西省煤炭管理幹部學院幹事、辦公室副主任、主持工作。1987年5月，任共青團陽泉市委副書記。1989年1月，任共青團陽泉市委書記。1990年4月，任中共平定縣委副書記。1995年6月，任中共陽泉市城區區委副書記、區政府代區長、區長。1997年7月至2002年2月，任中共陽泉市城區區委書記。2002年2月，任中共陽泉市委常委、秘書長。[1]。
2006年，任長治市人民政府副市長。2012年，任中共長治市委副書記，副市長。2014年，任呂梁市人民政府市長[2]。2015年7月14日，中共山西省委、山西省人民政府決定任命董岩為山西省工商局黨組書記、局長、省非公工委書記[3]。2015年10月23日，董岩辭任呂梁市長[4]。
