歷史
Bob Flick, John Paine, Mike Kirkland, 和 Dick Foley 在華盛頓大學時是 派伽馬德爾塔兄弟會的成員,他們1956年在兄弟會相識 。他們在1958年進行的第一次專業演出緣起於一次由River兄弟會發起的惡作劇,他們安排人假裝成西雅圖殖民地俱樂部的人給他們打電話,並邀請他們前去舉辦現場演唱會。 儘管俱樂部並不知道此事,四人也並沒有受到熱烈歡迎,他們還是被允許唱了幾首歌,後來還被俱樂部正式僱傭。Flick 回憶道:「當時我們大部分時候都是被用啤酒付的薪水。」

英國搖滾流行潮 和 以 鮑勃·迪倫 為例的民謠搖滾 統治級歌手終結了四兄弟樂隊的早期勝利,但是他們並沒有放棄表演和錄製,在美國的酒店圈子(American hotel circuit)和日本發展良好。
1968年他們和 Jerry Dennon 一起在 俄勒岡州錫賽德市 (KSWB)創辦了一個無線電台,後來在1972年賣給了一個來自蒙大拿的團體並最終被一個大型電台企業兼併。
他們曾經試圖通過翻唱迪倫的Mr. Tambourine Man來復出卻因為版權問題而無法出版,而 The Byrds 最終竊取了他們的創意,通過翻唱預告版本的歌曲成功復出。[2]
Mike Kirkland 在1969年退出了團隊,他的位置由另一位華盛頓大學的校友 Mark Pearson 代替。1971年,Pearson 離開了, Bob Haworth代替了他。Bob待到了1985年,直到Pearson重新加入團隊。Dick Foley 在1990 離開了團隊,Terry Lauber 則取代了他的位置。
儘管發生了諸多變故和人員調整,這個六十多年的老樂團仍舊在美國活躍著。
