早期美国货币（英語：Early American currency）在美国殖民地和革命后历史经历了几个发展阶段。由于后来成为美国的十三殖民地铸造的铸币很少，外国铸币如西班牙元广泛流通。各殖民地政府有时发行纸币以促进经济活动。1751年、1764年和1773年，英国议会通过了《货币法》，对殖民地纸币进行管理。
