睪丸炎是睪丸發生的一種炎症。[1] 其症狀與睪丸扭轉很像，都會導致睪丸脹大、劇烈疼痛、反覆感染和尿血。

睪丸炎可能是由附睪炎傳染而來的，有時候也會因性交而傳染。布魯氏菌病也被發現可能誘發睪丸炎。[2]
缺血性的睪丸炎也可能是因在做腹股溝疝修補術時導致精索血管損傷所致，最糟糕的病例中甚至發生了睪丸萎縮。[3]
