滬乍杭鐵路自上海東站引出，經上海浦東新區、奉賢區、金山區、嘉興市平湖市、嘉興市海鹽縣、嘉興市桐鄉市、杭州市臨平區、杭州市餘杭區至杭州西站。目前，規劃中此線路又稱滬嘉杭鐵路。

全線長度約192 km（其中浙江省內141.6 km、杭州市內41 km），設計時速350 km/h，從上海東站至杭州西站全程約40分鐘。[1]
歷史
2022年6月，啟動前期工作。[2]
2023年2月，成為杭州加快建設交通強國示範城市暨打造國際性綜合交通樞紐城市的八大標誌性工程之一。[2]
