柳珊瑚科（學名：Gorgoniidae）也稱海扇，海柳，海鞭，角珊瑚，為珊瑚綱八放珊瑚亞綱的一目。多數種類的群體組成扇形、鞭形或枝狀，故名。牠的骨骼由角蛋白及細小的鈣化骨針組成，大多生長在礁岩邊或海峽的兩旁。扇狀的柳珊瑚喜歡與水流成直角，藉以增加與水流接觸的表面，從而增加捕捉水中食物的機會。[1][2]
柳珊瑚科，全株是一個群體，群體由許多珊瑚蟲構成，每個珊瑚蟲的口部外圍有8隻觸手，整株群體由中軸骨骼支持。在中軸與珊瑚蟲，以及珊瑚蟲與珊瑚蟲之間由共肉構成。共肉的組成成份除細胞之外，還有骨針，此骨針也可作支持之用。共肉內含有小管，作為珊瑚蟲的養分輸送管道。
