1210年，蒙古成吉思汗舉兵出黑水北，由兀剌海關口入河西。李安全遣世子李承禎為主將，以大都督府令公高逸為副元帥，率領五萬兵馬，大敗。高逸被擒獲，不屈而死。1211年，齊王李遵頊發動政變，廢李安全，李遵頊即位為夏神宗，次月李安全死去，李承禎不得立。
