爭議
根據美國國會下屬的美中經濟與安全審查委員會（USCC）2018年的一份報告[2]以及美國外交政策雜誌同年的報道[3]稱，中國學生學者聯合會與中國駐美大使館關係密切並接受大使館金錢資助。
紐約時報等數家歐美媒體與美國副總統邁克·彭斯[4]認為這個組織有監視當地中國留學生以及推動親中共議程等職能[5][6]。
