生平
崇禎元年（1628年）王章中進士。歷知浙江諸暨縣、鄞縣事，有治聲。轉任御史，巡按甘肅，持風紀，整飭邊防。還朝後，李自成入京師，賊持刃問曰：「降否？」，王章叱之曰：「不降。」賊以刃築其膝仆地，遂遇害。贈大理寺卿，諡號忠烈。清朝賜諡節愍。
