在猶太教中，猶太人是上帝的選民（希伯來語：הָעָם הַנִבְחַר hāʿām hanīvḥar）的概念指的是猶太人作為古以色列人的部分後裔，通過與上帝立約而成為上帝的選民這一信念。不過，古以色列人是上帝的選民，這在《申命記》7:6中直接以動詞 baḥar (בָּחַר) 的形式出現。拉比文學中有很多關於這些主題的文章。三大猶太教派—正統猶太教、保守猶太教和改革猶太教—都堅信猶太人是上帝出於某種目的而選擇的。有時，這種選擇被視為賦予猶太人一項特定的使命——成為萬國之光，並體現《托拉》中所描述的與上帝之約。[1]
