氣泡是指液體中的氣體，此時氣體在液體中會呈現球狀。而氣體中的液體狀小球則被稱為水滴。[1]人們之所以能看到氣泡，是因為氣泡的折射率與周圍物質不同。例如空氣的折射率約為1.0003，水的折射率約為1.333。
